Support and Protect Our Frontline Security Professionals Across the UK

At IPSA, we recognize the significant challenges posed by the ongoing unrest across the UK, and the impact it has on our frontline security officers. Your role is crucial in safeguarding our communities, and we stand in solidarity with you during these difficult times.

We understand the emotional toll these events can take on individuals. Remember, you are loved, valued, and essential to our society. Your commitment to protecting our communities is deeply appreciated.

Our Commitment to You

Our support goes beyond words. IPSA offers free membership to frontline workers through our app, which provides essential tools, information, and resources to support your vital work. Additionally, we offer a free 24-hour mental health support line to ensure that you have access to the emotional and psychological assistance you need.

As the situation evolves, we encourage employers to take proactive steps to protect their staff. This includes adjusting work schedules to avoid unsafe commute times, allowing remote work where possible, and ensuring no one leaves the workplace alone if there is a potential threat. Employers should also consider providing travel support, such as covering taxi expenses or helping employees find a ‘travel buddy.’

It’s important to acknowledge that some employees may feel more vulnerable due to their ethnicity or beliefs, and employers must be sensitive to these concerns. Business continuity plans should be in place to protect employees, whether through remote work or other measures that prioritize their safety.

Standing Together Against Violence

We all share the responsibility to stand up against violence and ensure that everyone feels safe and included at work. Our CEO, Satia Rai, will be conducting check-ins with our frontline communities in the coming days and weeks. Please direct any frontline officer or anyone in need of support to our app to access these free resources.

Let’s continue to stand united and advocate for the well-being of all, especially those on the front lines and those facing discrimination. Together, we can make a difference.
